Sälens Vandrarhem is a real goldmine for fishing enthusiasts. It is located just a stone's throw from the Görälven River, which is known for its fantastic grayling and trout fishing. There are over 6,500 hectares of fishing water here, including about ten lakes and 190 km of flowing water.

Grayling, trout, whitefish, char and rainbow salmon in rivers and ponds
Pike in several of the larger lakes

Fishing permits are sold directly through the hostel or online, for example through Transtrands Fiskevårdsområde. Children under 15 years of age fish for free when accompanied by a guardian.
