Kläppen mountain is the äventyr. Here is Salenfjels only down hill bana for the whole family. You don't ned to be a derdevilor experienced, her ther e ara ll types of rides. The idea is that theres something for everyone. And of course even the proffessionals are drawn here. Designed of downhill-legend Tompa Johanson.

Rörbocksnäs
Started in 2007 Rörbäcksnäs has worked towards making the park Sälens crosscountry-leder för mountainbike, Ofering fun, fast cycling along well signed routes. A large non profit organisation of enthusiasts has worked to produce to make this park with various routes and difficulties. Depending on the weather the park normally extends from mid May to late October.

Fulufjäll
Fulufjället with 380 sq. km is the largest National park in Sverige outside of Norrbotten. Njupeskärs waterfall is 93 meter high. In winter th efall freezes, creating an icy blue panser. The worlds oldest tree, is also here a cloned vegitation in the same spot for 9550 år, ie since the laast ice age.
Paddel Gör Älven
Take a canoe through Sälens fine rivers and have an experience you'll never forget! Sälen Hostels offers beautiful canoeing in varierarande difficulty and lengths. Try Görälven which is only few meters from the house.
Looking for adventure and excitement, this is something for you. Glide silently down Görälven and experience the wildlife and nature from the mighty river. Chances are that you may see moose, beaver, fox, and with a little extra luck bear or a lynx. We drive to Norway, relaxation spot varies depending on water level and your experience.
Trips range from full to half days, so that no one should feel unsafe, we obviously run through safety issues and give afew head starter before releasing anyone onto the river.

In the village of Rörbäcksnäs lies the unike moose farm. approx 25 min from Salens Hostel.
Here you can meet Gudrun, Gösta, Hannes and Isabel, the parks fyra tame moose.
The guide takes you along a 1000 meter path through the forest giving information about the animals. Here you have the posibility to meet up close these incredable animals in splendid surroundings.
A small cafe and souviner shop is at the park.
